Cisco-Eagle's Gert Langford named ARMA member of the Year

(JANUARY 2001) At a joint meeting on January 17, 2001 with AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management) Tulsa ARMA (Association of Record Managers and Administrators) President, Joseph Adams, presented Cisco-Eagle's Gert Langford with the Chapter Member of the Year Award for 2000.

This award is presented each year to the individual that contributed the most to the organization through service for the year. Langford was chapter President for 1999-2000. In her duties, she chaired each Board of Directors meeting, wrote articles for the ARMA newsletter, worked the annual golf tournament, attended and spoke at each of the local chapter meetings, and arranged many of the speakers, facilities and menus. Langford sent notifications of all chapter meetings to the members and assembled the ballot for the 2000-2001 chapter officers. She attended the Leadership conference that was held in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1999 to gather chapter information. Langford was responsible for the solicitation of new memberships, sending out introductory letters and information about ARMA and her local chapter to prospects. Being the membership chair 4 years running, last year she also presented to all new members their ARMA membership certificates.
