Jason Eitreim Named Cisco-Eagle 2010 Employee Owner of the Year

Jason Eitreim accepts Cisco-Eagle's Employee Owner of the Year Award

Cisco-Eagle has named Jason Eitreim as its 2010 Employee Owner of the Year. The annual award is made by a committee of Cisco-Eagle associates, the ESOP Advisory Committee, and recognizes one employee for going above and beyond the expected to promote our ownership culture and personal accountability and positively affect our stock value.

Eitreim has been with Cisco-Eagle in many capacities since joining the company in 1999.  He has served in customer service and sales associate roles before taking the lead as our Houston Market Manager.

Jason has served on various employee committees, including the ESOP Advisory Committee and Vendor Evaluation Team.

Previous winners include Anne Miller in 2008 and Darrell Griffin in 2009.

Cisco-Eagle Wins AACE Employee Ownership Awards

Employee-OwnedThe ESOP Association recently announced its 2010 Annual Awards for Communications Excellence (AACE) award winners, and Cisco-Eagle was among the companies honored. These awards recognize the outstanding communications and educational programs. The awards were presented at the Association’s 33rd Annual Conference in Washington, DC. Cisco-Eagle has been an ESOP (employee owned) company since 2000. Our awards include:

  • 1st Place: Category 5-B, External ESOP Advertising – Website
  • Runner Up: Category 3-A, Printed Materials, 250 or fewer employees

Cisco-Eagle is employee owned, managed and operated. We believe that this gives us advantages over just about any company that we compete against – you deal with an owner with a real stake in the company every time you call us, every time you have your conveyor serviced, every time we install equipment, send an invoice, or design a material handling system. It’s a way of doing business that has permeated our company culture and helps us to be more accountable, more service oriented and more involved with our customers.

Darrell Griffin named Cisco-Eagle’s 2009 ESOP Employee Owner of the Year. Griffin is Cisco-Eagle’s Systems & Design Manager and has been with us since 1995. Darrell has been involved as a member of our ESOP Advisory Committee, and as an active participant in many employee activities. The award recognizes one employee every year for going above and beyond what is expected to promote our ownership culture and personal accountability. Last year, the award was won by our Training Manager, Anne Miller.

ESOp squares at Cisco-EagleAlso, Cisco-Eagle won the ESOP Association’s award for Special Events and Promotions – One Outstanding Event. We ran a game show on Employee Ownership day, our own version of “ESOP Squares.” Since we are a material handling company, we naturally put our “celebrities” in a frame of pallet rack to run our game, which was held at our Dallas warehouse and broadcast to all other locations following a companywide brunch.

Fashioned after the Hollywood Squares TV show,  our Senior Leadership team and our Selling Shareholders manned the rack as the “celebrities” to fill in the squares.

Cisco-Eagle has 8 office locations, which were split up into 4 different regions to play the game. Each region decided on a team of three that would be the contestants. They worked together to pick squares and “agree” or “disagree” with the ESOP celebrities.  The game was played out in three rounds with a lot of humorous moments intertwined with the ESOP information. In the end, our South Texas team was victorious and took home the illustrious ESOP Squares trophy, as well as scoring an ice cream party.

Cisco-Eagle was the Runner-up for External ESOP Advertising – Print Advertising. Many examples of our print advertising can be found at our literature downloads area.

Cisco-Eagle wins AACE Award for Printed Materials

ESOP logoCisco-Eagle has been selected by the ESOPAssociation as the nationwide winner of the 2008 award for Printed Materials (250 or fewer employees). The AACE (Annual Awards for Communications Excellence) Awards are sponsored each year by the Association to recognize the outstanding communications and educational programs of its members. The award will be presented in May 2008 in Washington, DC at the Association’s Annual Conference.

Cisco-Eagle named Southwest Chapter 2008 ESOP Company of the Year

It’s a point of pride for me that we’re an employee-owned company. We have been since 2000, and almost everyone who works here is a shareholder.

So it was a pleasure to hear that we’d won the ESOP Association’s Southwest Chapter 2008 ESOP Company of the Year award. On March 7, Cisco-Eagle’s ESOP committee members were presented this award at the association’s Spring Conference & Awards Dinner. Present were our ESOP Advisory Committee Chairman Randall Chamberlain, along with members Anne Miller and William Ellwood. With this award, we’ve been nominated for National ESOP Association company of the year.
