Manual gates work like the automated gates, except there are no sensors to detect forklift traffic in the aisle. The gates are opened and closed by a drive motor when a push button is pressed. Manual Gate Systems Include the gate, pushbutton, audible alarm, and warning lights.
AisleCop® Auto Gate Safety System Operation
-
To
cross the aisle, pedestrians press a push button (may also use pressure
mats, swipe a card, or open by photoeye) - Lights flash, an audible alarm beeps and the gates open into the aisle, creating a visual barrier for forklift drivers and allowing pedestrians to cross
- The gates automatically close after a preset time
- AisleCop® can interface with alarm systems for emergency unrestricted egress. During fire alarms or other defined emergencies, gates can be set to automatically open and remain open until reset
- Manual gates can be set for forklift aisles, for single entry door safety, or other situations that warrant pedestrian protection in a warehouse or other industrial facility
Customized Controls & Sensors
The Manual Gate System can be configured with sensors to close the gate when pedestrian traffic has cleared the aisle. Other sensor types are available and can be customized to your facility, traffic rules, timing, or processes. For complete information, contact us today.

AisleCop® systems are safety tools that help define and control access to forklift aisles. They do not provide 100% protection from industrial traffic accidents. AisleCop® gates do not stop forklifts or other industrial traffic. Other critical factors, such as system maintenance, drivers and pedestrian compliance, enforcement of crossing lanes, and assessment of safe crossings are the responsibility of individuals and companies.
