These merger/sorter devices handle a wide variety of products, ranging from small (3" long) to large (30" long). These sizes can be exceeded as necessary. Load weight is also highly flexible, ranging from just ounces per foot to up to 75 pounds. Excellent for fragile items such as glass or thin items, but also capable of handling rugged loads such as heavy cartons or tires. High speed, flexible design, and multiple in-feed and discharge lane capabilities make Stewart switches best in class for high-speed product handling applications.

Stewart Switch Configurations & Models

The frames for Stewart Horizontal Switches are constructed of formed steel plate members, which are coated with industrial piedmont white enamel paint. The product carriers are manufactured from ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) plastic. The side chain is fully guarded on the top and ends, and a hollow pin side chain carries the cross rods, tubes and pallets.
