Steel face makes the bumper last even longer

  • Resilient rubber bumper material cut from recycled truck tires; pads are punched to receive 3/4" supporting rods
  • Bumpers are closed with two 3"x3"x1/4" structural angles; the angles are welded to 3/4" rods at one end, and closed with the rod being threaded at the opposite end, using a nut to hold the rod and angle in place
  • Bumpers have a 3/8" thick steel face plate. The plate is welded to two slotted steel support plates which extend back to the supporting rods. Elongated slots in the support plates allow the steel face to "float" on impact
