Offset Rib Strip MaterialOffset rib strip material ; extends the life of your strip door because it reduces scratching and abrasions from heavy use - your door and your strips will last longer, even under heavy and frequent use. It also provides a stronger seal than conventional strip materials. Use it for tough applications where you need the best possible seal.
Many other types of strip materials are available, including mesh AirFlex for insect protection, Low-Temp for coolers/freezers, dark amber & Aztec Orange for welding or sight barriers, opaque for conveyor openings or sight barriers, anti-glare, antistatic, freezer reinforced, and other materials. Studded Mounting SystemStudded mounting hardware is recommended for the heaviest strip applications such as 16" wide or strips which are particularly long in length.& All
mounting studs have been welded to ensure a quick and easy installation. Simply install the mounting plate to either lintel or side wall, add strips, and install face plate. All mounting holes are pre-drilled and all fasteners except those needed to attach mounting hardware to existing building material are supplied. Studded mounting systems are available in your choice of aluminum or galvanized steel. This innovative system, consists of angle and face plates. It allows the strip door to be mounted in either the lintel (inside frame, under-header) or side wall (header) position - see below.
Installation: Each PVC strip is secured between the vertical side of the angle and one foot face plate sections. Worn or damaged strips may be easily replaced by simply removing the necessary number of face plate sections, replacing the appropriate strips and reattaching the face plates. Offset angle and sliding bracket kits are also available - contact us for assistance.
SPECIFICATIONS: This strip door is 6 feet wide, 8 feet high. The strips are 8" wide, .080" thick, with 50% overlap. It utilizes Studded Galvanized mounting hardware.
A guide to strip overlap - 8" with 50%Overlap is measured at the point strips attach to the mounting hardware. This door features 8" strips. They overlap each other by 2" on each side. Overlap at the floor may be less due to the curve across the face of the material. The greater the overlap, the more restricted the flow of air through the door. 8" doors are typically used in light duty or medium duty applications where there may be personnel walking through the door. Consider this size in areas like warehouses, walk-in freezers, and clean-room areas.
