A mobile aisle system combines the benefits of high-density storage with minimal space usage by reducing the number of access aisles needed. By nearly doubling your storage in a smaller footprint, more floor space is opened up for other activities. Additionally, parts and supply retrieval is enhanced with fewer steps taken and the flexibility of V-Grip shelving, modular drawer components, and bulk rack.
Mobile carriages make your shelving rows movable using a track and platform system on which the carriages travel. Simply grab the module handhold and pull to a new position for easy access to interior shelving rows. Easily move up to 1000 lbs. per linear foot in each carriage unit.
The system shown includes 16 open shelving units with 4 shelves per unit, one wire rack unit and one 4-shelf unit with 4 drawers. Each unit measures 48"w x 24"d x 88"h, equating to a total of 1056 cubic feet of storage space in a physical foot print of 169 square feet. Each system is based on a modular plan for easy assembly for initial installation as well as future reconfiguration and expansion. The modular platform allows re-leveling of rails after installation so you are assured of easy carriage travel each and every time a shelving row is accessed.
With the addition of other V-Grip components, these shelving units can be configured to exactly match your storage or parts picking needs. The special V-Grip technology used features one of the most efficient fastening principles known, minimizing deflection and adding strength and ridigity to the entire unit. Each component piece is adjustable for easy reconfiguration without unloading components above and below. Adjustments can be made in increments of 1-1/2".
