Safety Stairs

Stair units arrive ready for assembly. Each stair unit includes stringers, treads, handrails and all hardware for assembly. Steps are set at a 9" rise with a step width of 32". Each tread is made with a slip resistant surface and handrails are finished in ANSI Safety Yellow.

Stair units are available in 2 step through 11 step configurations upon request. Stair units MUST be anchored to the floor before use of the crossover, or serious injury could occur.

Universal Platforms

Platforms can be bolted to stairs, ladders, and other platforms on any side. The bolt hole configuration is the same on all sides of the one piece stamped aluminum platform. Stamping technology minimizes welds, peicing and additional parts while increasing overall strength.

Higher quality production is also possible which means each piece is exactly the same as the one before it. This means each platform easily fits onto stair units, other platforms, ladders, or support towers.

Platforms are sturdy enough to span 3 platforms wide and 3 platforms deep before additional support is needed. When exceeding 3 platforms bolted to each other, add support towers for intermediate support.

Support Towers

Support towers add versatility to your crossover configuration. Place a support tower where more that 3 platforms span an open area, at the end of a dead-end span, or to make turns in your stair configuration in order to save floor space.

Each support tower is a two-legged structure with the same bolt-hole configuration as the bottom of the platform. You can support a platform on a support tower in three ways:

1. Bolt a single platform to a single tower, positioning platform edge even with outside edge of tower
2. Bolt two platforms to a single tower by positioning each platform edge even with the mid-line of the tower top, creating a seam between platforms.
3. Bolt multiple towers to a single platform, creating a tabletop effect to which additional platforms can be added.

Each support tower must be anchored to the floor in order to provide adequate stability to the crossover it is part of.

Safety Handrails

Hand rail units include toe-boards, and come in one universal size that fits the bolt-hole pattern of the platform sides. Hand rails are constructed of round pipe with a diameter of just under 2". Sturdy and durable, these hand rails are finished with ANSI Safety Yellow for high visibility and pleasing appearance.

Ladders

When space is too confined for adding stairs, consider installing a ladder to take you up to the platform height you need. While ladders are not convenient for carrying materials on or many other applications, they do provide access to service ports and equipment maintenance doors in tight places.

Each ladder module is based on a 9" rung space and 26" step surface. Bolt-holes match the pattern on platforms, making it possible to create a work platform at important access points for working on equipment and machinery. Handrails are included on each ladder.

3. Width & length of floor space crossover is being installed in,
