Costly equipment must be protected from accidents which may not only cost you in repair bills, but cost valuable time if equipment needs to be shut down or slowed down. A conveniently located section of guardrail is an excellent form of machinery preventive maintenance. Secondly, guardrail aids in the direction of equipment and personnel through your facility. Using guardrail to control traffic can help prevent personnel from entering hazardous areas or walking between aisles or machines.

This guardrail uses a steel inner core which is connected to a base plate and bolted to the floor using 15/16" anchor bolts. Polyethylene anti-static sleeves are then slipped over the steel core to give your guardrail a smooth look that will never chip, rust, or need painted. Base plate installation is extremely sturdy and is the most common used method of installing this particular type of guardrail. We can however offer this guardrail as a "core mounted" type which requires the entire diameter of the posts to be slipped into predrilled holes in your flooring. Please contact us if your guardrail must be core mounted.

Standard materials include: (2) Pipe Posts - 4" diameter schedule 80, (2) Pipe Rails - 6" diameter schedule 40, (2) Base Plates - 5/8" x 10" x 10". The steel cores are shielded with high density thermoplastic polyethylene (HDPE) sleeves with ultraviolet and anti-static additives.
