Connecting Conveyor

Each section of conveyor has two gravity hooks on one end and coupling bolts on the other end.  These ends can be linked between conveyor sections to create long conveyor lines.  Ends with the coupling bolt must have a support installed underneath.  Ends with the gravity hooks do not need their own support as its weight will be supported by the section it is connected to. 

Example:  If your 15 foot conveyor line is made up of a 10 foot section and a 5 foot section, the minimum number of your supports you would need is 3; one under each end, and one underneath the connection.  This configuration however would give your 10 foot section a lower capacity than the 5 foot section unless you placed an intermediate support under the 10 foot.

Frame – 2-1/2 in. deep x 1 in. flange x 1/8 in. heat-treated aluminum channel with bolt-in cross members.

Rollers – 1-3/8 in. dia heat-treated aluminum tubing. Spring loaded axle allows roller to be easily removed or inserted.

Axles – 1/4 in. dia.

Couplings - Bolt on one end, hooks on opposite end.

Width

Conveyor width is measured in two ways; overall width (OAW) and between rail width.  Overall width includes the width of the frame, which is 1" on either side of the rails.  This means that the between rail width would be 2" less than the overall width of the conveyor.  Keep this in mind when determining what width of conveyor you need to meet your package requirements.

Length & Supports

Roller conveyor is available in 5 foot and 10 foot lengths for straight sections.  The length of the conveyor along with the number of supports underneath greatly determine its load capacity.  In most applications, supports should be placed in either 5 or 10 feet intervals depending on the weight of the product you are conveying.  By installing a support every 5 feet, capacity of that section increases greatly; keep in mind though that no matter how close together you place supports, the roller axles themselves also have a capacity that should not be exceeded.
