Calculator: Minimum Curve Width Between Rails

Determine the minimum width of your curved conveyor

If you have guardrails on your curve and the package being conveyed is too long, the package may become jammed in the curve if the curve is not wide enough.

Even without guard rails, if the package is too long and overhangs the curve, it may contact items outside the curve, causing a jam.

Enter the dimensions (in inches) into the calculator to find the proper width for your curve to avoid jams.

BR is the distance "Between the Rails" of the curve. Round up the result to the next highest standard BR dimension as needed.

Standard BR dimensions:

IR is the dimension from the center of the curve to the inside of the first rail
