Frito-Lay Names Cisco-Eagle, Inc Capital Supplier of the Year for 2003
Award highlights relationship began in 1989
Frito
Lay, a division of PepsiCo. Inc, recently named Dallas-based Cisco-Eagle,
Inc. as its 2003 Capital Supplier of the Year. The award is exclusive,
granted after a rigorous selection process that encompasses a variety of
criteria.
Frito-Lay utilizes Cisco-Eagle material handling systems and equipment
such as racking, conveyor, storage solutions, picking modules, flow
storage, and other storage products. The two companies have a relationship
that began in 1989. Cisco-Eagle serves Frito-Lay with a dedicated team of
material handling specialists and a problem-solving approach to customer
service. This long relationship is cemented with mutual trust, friendship,
and a partnership that has benefited both companies.
“The
way we work together has really been key,” said Cisco-Eagle’s Steve
Strifler. “It’s a real partnership. It allows our material handling
specialists to understand the flow of work in various Frito-Lay facilities
to a degree few outside our two companies can.”
Cisco-Eagle has built material handling systems for scores of Frito-Lay distribution centers over the last fifteen years. This work extends into complex systems that service the storage and handling needs of Frito-Lay’s production facilities. It includes both manufacturing and distribution applications in a variety of plants across the United States and Mexico. The projects range from specific storage solutions to comprehensive integrated material handling systems.
