Cisco-Eagle's Steve Strifler Elected to Serve as Director of National Trade Association


(January 2009) - Cisco-Eagle President Steve Strifler has been elected to serve as a Director of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA).

Strifler is the President and Chief Operations Officer of Cisco-Eagle, Inc., a leading material handling distributor and systems integrator headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The company specializes in warehousing and distribution materials handling, utilizing equipment such as conveyors and racking to optimize customer operations.

Strifler holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Strifler's service in the U.S. Army ranges from Airborne Rifle Platoon Leader to General Staff, Deputy Operations Officer. Strifler is the President of the Hytrol Conveyor Distributor Council and is on the board of directors of the Southwest Chapter of the ESOP Association. He is a member of the University of Arkansas RFID Research and Development Council. He holds memberships in the National Business Advisory Council, the Quality Texas Foundation, and Texas Business Leaders.

Strifler added that MHEDA company members know more about the material handling industry and what it has to offer to customers. "MHEDA companies really do lead this industry. Most manufacturers' top distributors are in MHEDA. They operate better organizations so they can be low cost high value providers."

"As a Director, my personal mission will be to guide MHEDA to do a better job of marketing the qualities of its member companies to our prospective customers."
