Cisco-Eagle Rivet Shelving Estimator Allows Easy, Quick Shelving Layouts, Material Lists

DALLAS, TX – May 10, 2006 – Cisco-Eagle, Inc.: In its effort to create a suite of online estimators and customer-friendly tools, Cisco-Eagle, Inc. has released ShelvingEstimator, a browser-based application that lets customers create instant shelving layouts, parts lists, and drawings.

Like its predecessor, a pallet rack estimator, this service is provided free of charge or registration at www.cisco-eagle.com

The program lets customers instantly, easily calculate an estimated price for single or double rivet shelving for their configuration. Customers can calculate their shelving project in three ways:

  1. Fill a room or defined area with as much shelving as fits, or up to a specific number of shelving units. This method provides basic drawings.
  2. Configure a single row of shelving, either between two walls or of a specific length. This method also provides basic drawings.
  3. Estimate based on the number of starter and adder units. This method does not provide drawings.

Customers receive a materials list, estimated weight, and discounted total after entering specifications. For the fill the room and single row options, customers receive basic drawings of the floor plan and shelving elevations. These drawings aren’t to-scale or CAD-quality, and are there as a starting point. They are not installation or specification drawings, and are created as a visual reference. After the shelving is configured, the application can estimate freight costs. After that, the entire estimate can be submitted. This provides the customer an e-mail record of the project and can be marked so that Cisco-Eagle receives it and quotes or answers other questions.

The ShelvingEstimator does not require registration, an e-mail address, or other personal information. It is open for anyone to use without providing personal information, unless a formal inquiry request is desired.
