Pricing, Quotations, & Lead Times:

Equipment manufacturers add surcharges to most steel-intensive products. This is the result of steelmakers adding charges to manufacturers costs, which in turn are added to the cost of equipment. These surcharges are added at the time of shipment, causing unpredictable price fluctuations. In essence, it may not be possible to know the final price until shipment. We proactively communicate with vendors, in many cases on a project by project basis to minimize this impact on pricing.
In volatile markets, we encourage you to close pending orders as soon as you can to avoid increased costs and extended lead times.
Based upon recent increases, and current forecasts for the international steel market, we may be entering a period similar to 2004, in spite of the slowing in the U.S. economy.
