How to Specify Conveyor Safety Netting from our Pre-Engineered Conveyor Safety Netting Kits

Conveyor netting is sized to provide a 3’ guarded span on each side of the conveyor. Thus, a 9’ wide net configured in a box shape provides 3’ vertical sides and a 3’ horizontal guard beneath suspended conveyor. A 3’ wide net is designed to provide 3’ of guarded span on one side of the conveyor, or suspended beneath it.

To order preconfigured conveyor safety net guards, start by deciding the coverage length (the length of the conveyor run). Net guards come in lengths or 25’ and 50’. They can be combined to virtually any length needed. They can cover straight and curve conveyor sections.

Nylon ties are used to attach nets to each other. (Ex: a 100’ long conveyor would need two 50’ nets). If your run is less than 25’, or your run of conveyor comes to a length that cannot be covered by a combination of 25’ and 50’ sections, net can be bunched together and tied down to cover it. Order the shortest available configuration to cover your conveyor line that exceeds overall width. You can also choose to contact Cisco-Eagle and allow us to quote an exact-to-size net guard.

L-Shaped Conveyor Netting GuardNext, decide the horizontal coverage area—box-shaped or single-panel. If you need to enclose both sides and the bottom of a conveyor, utilize a 9’ box-shaped section. If you want to cover the bottom or just one side (Ex: for a conveyor installed against a wall), choose a 3’ wide side single-panel net. For either kind of panel , each side of a guarded conveyor has approximately three feet of netting coverage. To cover two sides, order two single-panel nets. Finally, choose the appropriate mounting kit: box-shaped or single-panel. Use one mounting kit for each net in a row. (See more potential conveyor safety net guard configurations)

Ex: Under this scenario, a 100’ conveyor with three sides to cover and a 700-lb load capacity would utilize 2 box-shaped nets, 9’ wide x 50’ long, and a 2 box-shaped guards (one per net)
