Shuttle VLM Carousels Controls

Controls 2000 (C2K)

Product Advantages (Control):

  • Digital control for Industrial applications (takes into account current industrial standards.)

  • Connection of peripheral equipment such as printers, bar code readers, scales, additional displays, alphanumeric keyboards, monitors, etc.

  • Integrated host interface.

  • Service interface for remote service, remote diagnostics by data transmission and data communications as well as data back-up.

  • Support of several access openings by "TRUE" multi-user operation.

  • Inexpensive extensions due to modular design.

Operator Panel (OP 2000):

  • Foil-design keyboard suitable for industry (IP54), splash proof, dust proof, abrasion proof, easy to clean.

  • Automatic service management (unit indicates automatically when suggested service date has been reached.

Database 2000 (DB 2000):

  • The article storage administration works in multi-user mode, i.e. with up to four units, or access openings.

  • When using the optional DB2000 no additional computer hardware is necessary.

  • It allows for the operation of the unit via part number, quantity, FIFO, etc., while maintaining the inventory in the unit.

Additional Features (Shuttle only):

  • Speeds / Positioning.

  • Continuously adjustable Vertical lift speed PER TRAY. It is adjustable from 10% to 100% of its max speed.

  • Continuously adjustable Horizontal extraction speed PER TRAY. It is also adjustable from 10% to 100% of its max speed.

  • Now faster overall cycle times due to increased Vertical, Horizontal and empty lift travel speeds.

  • Height Detection.

  • Height detection is now done using a light curtain instead of photoeyes.

  • Before and after the extraction of the tray from the access opening, there is a check to verify whether the light curtain is clear or not. This is used make sure all product is safely stored before it is put into the unit.

  • Each tray also has the ability to have a pre-reserved height. If this height is exceeded it will be sent back to the operator for the height to be reduced. This is just another option that is available to add to the already versatile "Fixed", "Optimized", and "Mixed" storage modes. These trays with the preserved heights can also be designated to be optimized or fixed. If they are fixed they will always go to the same location. If they are optimized they will go to the location that will best accommodate the tray at that measured height. If it is lower than the pre reserved height it may change locations to better utilize the cube within the unit. This pre reserved height option prevents an operator from putting one very tall product on a tray with many small products. This scenario would waste a lot of the tray cubic storage.
