Cisco-Eagle named its inaugural Core Values award winners in June 2025. These are employee-owners who embody our core values–the principles we aspire to. Those values were established over thirty years ago and remain unchanged since. “They are universal and timeless,” said CEO Darein Gandall. Our founder, Warren Gandall, has often said that he wants to treat his suppliers, customers and employees the way he wants to be treated.

Our values reflect that vision, and so do the 2025 winners of these awards.

You may have noticed that at Cisco-Eagle, we say “employee-owner” rather than “employee.” This is something we do with great intention as an ESOP. When we recognize our employee-owner of the year, for example, we’re recognizing someone who isn’t just a great employee, but also embodies the spirit of ownership.

Each October, as part of Employee Ownership Month, we hold a contest to design our annual ESOP poster. Employee-owners submit their ideas, and the winning design is generated, printed and posted in our offices for the coming year. It’s part of our effort to keep employee ownership at the forefront of our culture and remind all our teams, in all locations, that we’re working toward something together.
