One of the most dangerous areas in a warehouse is where foot traffic mixes with forklift traffic. Whether it can be faulted by distraction, blind corners, or a busy and noisy environment, collisions often occur when pedestrians are unaware of an approaching vehicle. ZoneSafe Crossing Alert helps to get the attention of both driver and pedestrian through an audible and visual alarm at these busy intersections.
Here, the forklift has been equipped with a transponder tag, the antenna has been placed at the blind corner and the alarm units are installed along the crosswalk. When the forklift enters the antenna's detection zone outside the doorway, the tag triggers the audible/visual alarm of the control units along the crossing. The alarm warns anyone about to enter the crosswalk that there is an oncoming forklift and it is not yet safe to cross.
Similar to the system above, the forklift is carrying the transponder tag while the antenna has been set up on a wall around the corner from an entrance. When the vehicle enters the detection zone, the alarm control units at the crossing alert anyone coming through the doorway that it is not safe to step out onto the warehouse floor.
