QC Industries' AS40Z conveyors provide all the great benefits of its low profile AS40 conveyors, but they are built in Z, L, and R designs optimized for moving product vertically between levels. If your application requires the elevation or lowering of parts, packages, or other loads at high speeds, in a compact area, these systems are ideal.
Quality components and thoughtful design details make AS40Z conveyors long-lasting, low-maintenance, and user-friendly. Some features are common to all Automation Series conveyors, such as the following:
Conveyors 12" wide and under have single piece extruded aluminum box frames; those 18" wide and over are constructed with rigid aluminum/steel frames for minimal deflection. Plus, all AS40Z conveyors save space with a slender frame profile of only 1.95" high — perfect for machine integration.
Double row ball bearings are sealed against dust and debris for reduced maintenance. Their robustness and large size help support high run speeds in automation applications.
The tension-release tail lets you loosen the belt at push of a button, so cleaning is a cinch. After service, the tail easily locks back into place with tension and tracking settings saved, so there's no need to re-adjust after every cleaning.
Several end drive package options, including top, bottom, or inline side placement; as well as a rotating end drive that gives you flexibility when your application and configuration requirements change.
AS40Z conveyors also include features that deliver high performance specifically when conveying through inclines and declines:
QC Industries' "Z-Track" angle idler assemblies are precision manufactured so you can easily adjust and lock in belt tracking settings at the angles of incline or decline. The assemblies also guard against access to pinch points, which improves safety where conveyors share space with people.
QC offers a selection of cleated belts that are often used in conjunction with adjustable side rails to support and guide items so they don't tumble or fall off when moving up or down the conveyor. Cleats are available in several sizes up to 2" and are required for L and Z models.
