Make dock edges safer with barrier gates that help keep vehicles from going off the dock edge. Manually operated, this barrier gate opens and closes using a counterbalance release system concealed in the sides of the vertical beams. The barrier gate's vertical columns also protect the dock door track from impact and damage. Fits 10' W x 10' H opening. Custom sizes and many options available upon request.

This barrier gate significantly enhances dock door safety with a strong, steel beam barrier at forklift height to prevent vehicles and pedestrians from going out an empty dock opening. Two I-beam uprights are anchored using footplates and provide the verticals for the safety beam to travel on. Cellular foam bumpers between the uprights and the barrier beams absorb impact shock, limiting damage to the structure and dock opening. Additionally, the vertical uprights function as overhead door track and panel damage prevention tools.
Operation
The safety beam operates through a counterbalance system stored in the vertical upright sides. A safety release allows the barrier to rise at a gentle rate, while a pull strap allows the user to easily return the safety beam to its resting position. The safety beam stores at a 30" height to help keep forklifts from passing through the opening. This steel beam withstands impact forces up to 10,000 lbs. moving at 4 mph. The beam is raised manually to allow vehicles and workers to enter a docked trailer. Once work is completed in the trailer, the gate is then manually lowered.Installation
