Why netting instead of rail gate?: Nets provide a barrier down to ground level, stopping shorter loads that would pass under a rail gate. They also help to protect pallets and prevent product spills because of the greater surface area.
Uses: Add fall safety at the loading dock or a protective barrier in other areas of the facility. For example, guard pallet rack by installing two sets of netting at the rack corner.
Stopping Force: Dock safety nets with bolt-on or in-ground posts are tested to stop a forklift doing 4.5 mph. Wall mounted nets stop products, personnel, manual handcarts and most walk-behind electric pallet trucks. The stopping force of nets mounted to existing bollards varies depending on the bollards.
Net Construction Loading dock safety nets are made from 1" wide polyester with a 6" on center mesh size. The top strap is 2" wide and weight bearing.
Size: Loading dock safety netting is 4 feet tall and varies in length from 6 feet to 32 feet. Custom sizes are available; call for more details.
Mounting Hardware: Kits include all the hardware you need for installing your safety netting.
