When storing smaller quantities of flammable liquids at a workstation or adding to existing storage capacities, countertop cabinets make it possible to store flammables safely even when available space is at a minimum. They allow increased access to often-used liquids without compromising safety. Portable size keeps work areas flexible.
Color note: Yellow safety cabinets are most frequently used for flammable liquids. Manual Door: Economical manual-close door opens a full 180°. When pushed closed, the door automatically self-latches.
Why yellow for flammable liquids?
Using color and labeling in your storage practices helps identify, organize and segregate liquids. It also helps fire department personnel recognize hazards when responding to fire situations. While regulatory codes do not mandate the specific color of safety cabinets, industry has customarily advocated yellow as the color for storing flammable liquid containers.
Various cabinets are designed for differing situations, and are approved or
regulated by different standards and groups.
