"Why would you use a roll-up guard instead of bellows-style guarding? Roll-up guards take up a smaller footprint. They're also highly versatile and can be custom designed for all kinds of industrial machines. We're happy to help you sort out your options for safety equipment throughout your operation. Roll-up guards keep workers from getting hands, feet or clothing caught in pinch points or shear points. They also enclose any potential debris or parts, keeping them from striking someone nearby. These models attach directly to the machinery, which satisfies the OSHA requirement that guarding should attach to equipment as often as possible.
We work with Akon to provide custom-created guarding, taking into account the equipment, conditions, environment and cycle rate to make sure you get the model that will work for you. Mounting legs are included and removable, and roller springs are designed for harsh industrial conditions.
Remember that besides safety guarding, we also provide maintenance and service for VRCs, conveyors and other equipment. Our service teams are trained and certified, and we offer a preventative maintenance package as well as a 24-hour emergency line.
More economical than heavier duty models, standard models are the perfect solution for machinery that doesn't cycle constantly or at a high speed.
Suitable for OEMs and manufacturing plants, the heavy duty series can handle heavier cycle rates and higher extension speeds.
Designed to guard machinery that cycles frequently and at high speeds, super duty models are suitable for robotic work cells that cycle constantly.
