"High-density storage with tons of picking locations is what you get with shelving mezzanines. These systems give you plenty of new working area and use shelf uprights for support. They can be constructed in deck-over style with a platform that can host offices, bulk storage, or other functions, or for high density picking, extend the shelves up so that you have another layer of high-density pick and storage locations. Let's talk about it -- send us a request, chat or call today."

High-density storage mezzanine systems save space, increase efficiency
Using standard components for support, economical units may be
constructed with an open "deck-over" upper level, or additional shelving. This
concept allows a great deal of storage in a small footprint because shelving
acts as the support structure for a platform and the vertical cube is utilized.
When you need to organize parts, tools or inventory in concentrated space,
shelving and platforms are one of the best ways to go about it.
Shelving on both levels for high density storage
Deck-over unit provides unrestricted work area
Using shelving mezzanine, you can save money in several areas:
You virtually double the amount of storage space in a
given floor area
You utilize existing heat and air conditioning within the
building
In some cases, construction is as uncomplicated as standard single level
shelving
The utility of a two-level shelving installation has almost
unlimited possibilities, including adjustable shelf heights and accessibility
from all four sides
How to start your project
There are a few things we will need to know to assist you on a storage
project of this nature. You don't have to know everything going in, of course.
We are here to help you work through the process, from layout to installation.
What is the width x depth footprint? How much physical space is
available for the mezzanine? Keep in mind that factors such as building
columns and clearances may affect the space available.
What is the height? If you have 20' ceilings, your mezzanine must be
beneath that level by enough space to allow lighting, support beams and
other ceiling based structure clearances.
What products are you loading? How many SKUs? If they require bins or spacers,
you'll need to have an idea of how many slots each occupies in the
mezzanine.
How will you load and unload the mezzanine? There are
many options for moving products vertically, including manually,
incline or
spiral conveyors, forklifts,
vertical lifts and more.
What type of decking is right? Options include plywood over B-Deck and bar grating. The
functional use of the mezzanine usually dictates the best decking choices.
Staircases and landings: Where will they be located?
What code requirements will they need to meet? (Usually OSHA, UBC and BOCA
are in play.) Local building and fire codes must be taken into account
as well.
Guardrails: What standard must you meet for guardrail
type and placement? What gate systems should be in place to prevent falls?
What's most important to you?
This is the most critical aspect. What problems do you need to solve? How can
we most quickly assist you?
