"When you need to transport, manipulate or handle pipes, the size, shape and weight of the load is always an issue. Let us help you specify and install a system that safely and effectively conveys these difficult loads. Typically, pipe is being delivered to cutters, threaders or other machinery for further processing. We can help you find the right answer - contact us to get started."

The problem with pipe is that it rolls.
Fortunately, as a systems integrator, Cisco-Eagle can help you with a conveyor that carries pipes and tubes on concave or bowtie rollers that keep the product in the center. Using a conveyor rather than maneuvering the pipes individually helps you automate some of your processes. It also makes pipe handling safer, and in some applications helps you use less space or avoid expanding your footprint.
One customer needed to move their pipe cutting process outdoors due to space considerations. The conveyor would have to move heavy pipes of varying widths under harsh outdoor conditions—a challenging application for any conveyor. We partnered with Omni Metalcraft to provide a trough-style conveyor with concave rollers. Now the customer can roll pipes from a storage rack onto the conveyor, where they travel outdoors to the cutting area. The saw operator cuts each piece to length before conveying it back into the facility. The end result is a streamlined process that minimizes indoor floor space.
Pipe lifting arms allow the conveyor to "kick off" the material into a specified zone. This helps you avoid a manual process for lifting, such as a crane and hoist, making the process smoother and safer.
Special coatings, such as heavy-duty urethane, protect the finish of the pipe and the roller.
Lift gates are available for areas where you need a conveyor to pass through a walkway.
Bowtie rollers come to a sharper point in the middle than concave rollers, which have a more rounded shape. Whether you need bowtie or concave depends on the product you're conveying, and we can help you sort out your options. In general, concave rollers allow you to convey pipes and tube in varying diameters, while bowtie rollers offer more precision, which could be important if you need to position a product for an automated process.
