If you need to align a package to the right or left side of the conveyor you can skew the rollers by moving one end of the rollers over by one notch.
This calculator tells you the length the package needs to travel across skewed rollers to move it to one side. It helps you with one aspect of proper conveyor design. Contact us to put our experience to work covering all the design details.
Notes:
- Not all BR sizes shown are available on all models of powered roller conveyor.
- 10 feet is the maximum length you should skew rollers.
- If there are guardrails on your conveyor, and the package is moved over so that it slides against the guardrail, you may need to increase the horsepower of the motor to compensate for the added friction.
