Whether using one, two, or more reversible spiral conveyors in combination, vertical accumulation buffering takes cooling, curing, drying and other handling processes into overhead space instead of eating up valuable floor space. Most conveyable products can be handled, including bottles, cans, pails, bags, bundles, totes, containers and wrapped or unwrapped items.
Accumulation buffers can also be used to take up surges between manufacturing processes and provide dynamic buffering during shorter production or packaging line interruptions to reduce downtime and increase productivity. Some products can be merged back into the production or packaging lines directly from the accumulation buffer while other will use additional merging devices depending on the type of product and speed of operation.
Built on proven Ryson spiral technology that features low maintenance and long life, these vertical accumulation buffers are available in 8", 12", 16", 20", and 24" wide slats. Choose from powder coated, stainless steel or washdown versions.
The innovative modular design of the accumulation buffer allows ease in customizing even in the field to accommodate emerging needs. Each spiral is built to order based on 4 basic configurations (A, B, C, and D) to meet most all in and out feed tangent locations. All can operate up or down in clockwise or counterclockwise directions and custom configurations are welcomed. Tell us your need and we will build it!
Most spirals are shipped without controls because they will integrate into existing conveyor control systems. They always include an inverter duty gear motor and two proximity sensors (one for the automatic chain tensioner and one for the overload protection device). Each spiral is thoroughly shop tested before shipping and depends on proper integration with your overall conveyor control system for optimum performance.
