Self-Close Door: Equipped with a fusible link that melts at 165 degrees under fire conditions, shutting the cabinet door and latching automatically.
Handle: Sure-Grip safety cabinet models feature a flush mounted handle with gripper pad for fingertip operation. Because it doesn't protrude, the handle prevents accidents such as bangs and dangerous "catches" from passing traffic. Gripper pad provides secure hold. Two keys included.
Color note: Yellow safety cabinets are most frequently used for flammable liquids.
Why yellow for flammable liquids?
Using color and labeling in your storage practices helps identify, organize and segregate liquids. It also helps fire department personnel recognize hazards when responding to fire situations. While regulatory codes do not mandate the specific color of safety cabinets, industry has customarily advocated yellow as the color for storing flammable liquid containers.
Various cabinets are designed for differing situations, and are approved or
regulated by different standards and groups.
