This rack backing set is an all inclusive model. It fits a rack bay that is 8' (96 inches) wide, and 12' (144 inches) tall. The panel dimensions will be exactly as high as the rack upright, but minus approximately 6 inches width to fit inside the posts. Don't just catch the spill—prevent it. Rack Back panels bolt directly to your pallet rack uprights and create a sturdy barrier between inventory and traffic aisles below, making your operation safer and protecting your people, racks, and inventory. Rugged, all-welded angle-frame construction prevents dangerous spills. It protects employees from falling items and contains inventory in high rack bays. Durable all welded, angle frame panels will provide solid steel protection and a long service life. Optional posts can be ordered to mount backing to instead of bolting to rack uprights.

Always on duty: Especially in areas where case picking, pallet flow, and flow racks are used for the bottom row with bulk storage above, Rack Back panels protect employees from falling items by making sure nothing can come loose when pushed by a lift truck or if the pallet breaks. Wire barriers can be ordered flush or offset to allow pallet overhang; just specify when you order flush or overhang, and the amount of overhang needed.
Attractive and easy to install: These wire rack backing panels install easily and quickly, with several mounting options to fit your specific needs. Clean, straight-line design makes for a very attractive warehouse area. They're finished in gray powder coat, but you can specify other colors for an additional fee (may also extend lead time).
Built tough: Constructed from 2" x 2", 10-gauge welded wire mesh and securely welded into a frame of 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 13 gauge steel angle.
Compatibility and installation
Rack guards are designed for use with teardrop-style pallet rack uprights. They can be installed on any rack but require different hardware when used on styles other than teardrop. If your rack is another type, contact us for assistance.
- Standard sized panels 4' 0" or 5' 0" high, match beam length in width. Stack panels one on top of the other to top of rack system.
- Custom size panels available to fit any rack size or configuration.
- Panels attach directly to rack with mounting brackets.
- Off set brackets allow for load to overhang rack beams.
- Multiple attachment points (seven) on ends of each panel.
- Assembly hardware is inaccessible from the exterior of the partition.
- Panels can be mounted to support posts-if stand alone system desired.
- "Above the Top" mounting allows panels to extend above top rack beam (contact us for details).
- Angle frame design gives installer clear access to hardware, speeding installation.
- Standard 3/8" assembly hardware is the heaviest in the industry.
- System may be started at the floor or at any level where protection is required.

We also offer secure wire mesh enclosures to completely enclose your racks, creating a highly-secure barrier that helps you eliminate pilferage while making your warehouse safer.
Ordering dimensions:
- RackBack protective welded wire mesh panels are approximately the same width as your rack beam. Order to match beam width; the wire panels are around 6" narrower, to fit between posts.
- Specify the height dimension by matching it to the same height of your rack frame. The wire enclosure is flush with the top of your frames.
- Select mounting option when you order. Utilize flush or offset mount; see below for details.

Offset mount, 4" to 6"
Flush rack back is mounted directly to the pallet rack uprights, providing the tightest possible access. Not even a hand can get through to stored items. Offset mounting allows you to overhang pallets from your rack. With 1" to 3" offset brackets, you can overhang pallets up to 3" in the front and back of the rack (up to 6" total overhang). To overhang up to 12" total, select 4" to 6" offset brackets. Please specify your mounting preference when ordering.
