Pallet conveyor is ideal for receiving operations to transport both empty and full pallets into position for unloading, staging, or storage. Frequently used in palletizing/depalletizing applications, to feed a robot, palletizer, stretch wrapper, label system, scale, or other machinery. It's excellent for order picking and load staging in shipping operations. This power conveyor uses chain driven rollers ideal for carrying fully loaded pallets, drums, or large parts. Floor supports are included and are adjustable between 30" to 36" to the top of the rollers for ease of loading. Description

Installation

Pallet conveyor includes two adjustable permanent floor supports that must be anchor bolted to the floor. It is important to be sure that the conveyor is level to the floor and avoid any incline/decline. An unlevel conveyor can put unnecessary strain on the motor and possibly create a hazard.

Pallet Orientation

NO - Running boards should never run parallel to the conveyor rollers. The running boards can fall in between the rollers and causing damage, injury, and jam up the conveyor line.

YES - Running boards should always run perpendicular to the conveyor rollers. This is the suggested type of orientation with the most common type of pallet. Pallets positioned this way put the most points of contact between the pallet and the conveyor. This provides the smoothest ride and ensures an even weight distribution across the rollers.

YES - Pallets with bi-directional runners or those that sit on full sheets provide the best base for moving pallet loads. These types of pallets can be loaded onto the conveyor in either direction.

Width

Conveyor width is measured in two ways; overall width (OAW) and between rail width. Overall width includes the width of the frame, which is 1-5/8" on either side of the rails. This means that the between rail width would be 3-1/4" less than the overall width of the conveyor. Keep this in mind when determining what width of conveyor you need to meet your package requirements.

Length & Supports

Roller conveyor is available in 5 foot and 10 foot lengths for straight sections. The length of the conveyor along with the number of supports underneath greatly determine its load capacity. In most applications, supports should be placed in either 5 or 10 feet intervals depending on the weight of the product you are conveying. By installing a support every 5 feet, capacity of that section increases greatly; keep in mind though that no matter how close together you place supports, the roller axles themselves also have a capacity that should not be exceeded.
