Pacific steel shelving is a high quality, flexible storage solution for warehousing, records management, retail, and more. This unit features an open design that provides better air flow and more light penetration than shelving with paneled sides. It includes Angle style posts — ideal for seismic applications — and five 48" x 18" steel shelves, punched to accept dividers and label holders. Intermediate shelves are secured in place with compression clips rather than bolts, so initial assembly and subsequent vertical shelf adjustments are quick and easy. Combine this starter with one or more adders to create a row of shelving, or use as a stand-alone unit.

Front Post Style
This shelving unit features Angle style front posts. They are ideal for seismic applications and the most popular Pacific shelving post style, though they do reduce shelf access — the clear width opening at the front of the unit — more than Beaded or Delta posts.
Shelving System Growth and Clear Shelf Width
Posts add slightly to the width and depth of each shelving unit, which is important to keep in mind when determining how much room you will need for your shelving system. To get the true dimensions of a system of Angle post shelving, add 3/8" to the total shelf width and 1/16" to the shelf depth for each unit. For example, the overall footprint of a 2 wide by 2 deep system (2 starters and 2 adders) would be as follows:
The contours of the posts also affect the clear opening at the front of the unit. For the distance between the front posts, subtract 1-7/8" from the shelf width.
