A mini-load AS/RS usually consists of a storage rack with computer-guided access point. Operators select the item they need, and the system uses a dynamic method—like a crane, shuttle or robot—to access the item and deliver it to a pick face or workstation. Mini-load systems are engineered specifically for tote and carton storage, so they're great for high-volume order preparation, and they work well for both fast- and medium-moving SKUs.
