The Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association is the trade association dedicated solely to improving the proficiency of the independent material handling equipment distributor. MHEDA represents a wealth of resources for all material handling businesses.

To further improve the proficiency of independent Material Handling Distributors in order that they continue to be the most effective and efficient conduit to the marketplace and to be a resource to the distributor for services and information.

History of MHEDA

More than half a century ago, eight material handling equipment distributors recognized the need for a national organization to help distributors conduct business more professionally, offer opportunities to learn from each other, provide information relevant to business and insure a voice for your business.  Hence, the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association was established.

Since 1954, the association has been led by approximately 45 presidents and hundreds of directors, all working to make MHEDA a solid, growing, national trade association with a mission to be the best resource for services and information for all material handling companies.  

Today, we continue to carry on the tradition of the founding fathers with dedication to promoting material handling industry excellence. MHEDA is proud to announce that membership totals continue to increase and today over 730 distributor and manufacturing companies from all over the world are part of MHEDA.
