University of Houston Vertical Lift

The University of Houston System is Texas' only metropolitan higher education system, which includes four universities: the University of Houston, the University of Houston-Downtown, the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and the University of Houston-Victoria.

The University asked Cisco-Eagle to update or replace 67-year old wooden dumbwaiters which were 53' tall and served five floors of the University's downtown campus. The timetable to do so was compressed to the Christmas holiday break.

The successful solution was the on-time installation of application-specific vertical material lifts designed to fit precisely into the existing vertical chambers
