End posts— used at the end of guardrail runs— have rail connectors on one side to accommodate upper and lower rails. Unlike standard guardrail that only protects what is behind it, flexible guardrail also protects itself and the floor by displacing energy absorbed after an impact. When the post itself is struck, energy is absorbed first by the outer shell and its shock diffusing posts. The remaining energy is mitigated by the inner iron core which is fitted with industrial strength rubber dampeners. This internal system not only helps to reduce the damage that a collision might cause to your equipment, the guardrail itself, and the concrete floor it is installed on, but also to the forklift and its driver. Includes floor anchors and rail installation hardware.
