Better Control of Conveyed Cartons
- Conveyor Inquiries - for fast assistance
EZLogic is the most advanced zero-pressure accumulation system in the world. While featuring the same EZLogic familiarity, GEN3 incorporates new technologies for ease of installation, operation, and maintenance. This system provides the intelligence to accurately control the various functions of zero-pressure accumulation on a variety of conveyors. Reduced noise, higher reliability, higher throughputs, and ease of maintenance are just some of the advantages of the EZLogic(c) system.
EZLogic automatically adjusts the conveyor's zone length to accommodate the length of the carton being conveyed. This provides better control of your boxes and naturally increases carton throughput. accumulation density, conveyor efficiency, and system flexibility. If desired you can size zones for the smallest carton for maximum efficiency.
Longer cartons introduced after installation do not obsolete the system, and the low-usage, long carton isn't a problem.

Functionality Advantages
Input/Output Power System
The input/output power system gives you the ability to install all of your "real time" inputs and outputs to the EZLogic system, such as zone stop inputs, slug mode inputs, photo eye outputs, "jam detected" outputs, and more. This centralizes all your control wiring to one spot and reduces installation costs. It can also be used for peer to peer communications. And it's easy to reconfigure.
Genesis Configuration Manager
This tool provides and easy-to-use interface to configure the EZLogic system. It allows you to change settings in a controller, save configurations for later use, load & use default conveyor settings, and much more.
Pushbutton Programmer
This convenient feature plugs into the auxiliary port of any controllers and allows easy configuration of most used features.
Two modes of operation
Singulation mode: product separates while traveling down the conveyor. When it is released from the conveyor, it creates a zone-length gap between packages. Slug mode: Product doesn't separate when traveling down the conveyor or when it's released, allowing higher throughput at any given conveyor speed. In slug mode, product will not separate on the conveyor, even when accumulation has been activated at the discharge end.
Jam Protection
When the conveyor is set to run in slug mode, if a packages is sensed to an EZLogic controller for 6 seconds or longer, a signal is sent to the upstream zone to accumulate product on the upstream side of the jammed package. This prevents product pileup until the jam is cleared. The zone where the jam is detected continues to drive, in many cases dislodging the product without manual assistance. Once the jam is cleared, the conveyor returns to normal operation.
"Sleep" Feature
If an EZLogic controller does not detect the presence of product for a selectable time period, the controller stops the zone from driving. This "sleep" feature helps reduce noise and roller wear. Packages traveling the conveyor "wake up" the zones as needed to move them.
Loading Zone
When a pallet or other load is placed in a zone by external means, the zone stops the rollers from turning and holds back any upstream pallets for a preset time.
Indexing Stop Zone
Ideal for workstations where a person finishes with one item then momentarily presses a switch, indexing the next item forward.
Cascaded slug release
Rather than releasing all cartons simultaneously, this function introduces a momentary delay in the release of each zone from discharge upstream.
Expandability
With features like dual transducers, remote mount sensors, and many interfacing options, Gen 3 EZLogic can grow with your system needs.
