When Ordering Seismic Rack

While most seismic zoning requires 5" x 7" welded upright base plates, some higher risk areas require larger ones. To ensure code compliance, our engineers double-check every seismic rack order before it is shipped. Seismic Base Plates

5" x 7" welded base plates are used in seismic pallet rack for added stability against lateral and front-to-back motion upon impact or during seismic activity. These larger base plates help prevent the pallet rack from collapsing by providing a sturdy base footing for the rack columns.
