Crossover Styles
While many crossover configurations are possible, the two most basic layouts are straight and U-shaped.
Straight Crossover
Span obstacles with an in-line system that uses the fewest number of modular components for simplest assembly and lowest cost. Up to three 36" x 36" platform modules may be connected in a row before intermediate supports are needed.
U-shaped Crossover
Sometimes a horseshoe layout is the preferred option because a work area, traffic lane, or wall prevents the steps from being laid out in-line with the platforms— especially in applications where higher clearances and more stairs are required.
Components
Crossovers may consist of a combination of stair, handrail, platform, support tower, and ladder units assembled to specified clearance heights and depths.
