The new Orion FA turntable automatic wrapping system features an updated and more rugged design, new electronic controls, safety systems and a wide range of performance features that make the FA the automatic turntable wrapper of choice for productivity and safety. With a smaller footprint than Orion's MA line of rotary tower wrappers, the FA easily fits in areas where floor space is at a premium. Features 84.5" of roller conveyor on infeed and exit sides, integrated guarding for safe performance, and ergonomic side facing carriage for easy film loading. Numerous available options assure that you can customize the FA wrapper to meet your specific application.

Orion FA is a Rotary Turntable In-Line Conveyor Stretch Wrapping System that automatically receives, wraps and discharges Loads within system specifications.
The Basic System includes one Powered Infeed Conveyor, one Powered Turntable Conveyor and one Powered Exit Conveyor. Additional Infeed/Exit conveyor Sections may be added for increased Load accumulation. The machine will automatically apply Pre-Stretched Film to the Loads, cut the Film, wipe the Film tail to the Load, and contain the Film for application to the next load. Loads are automatically sequenced through the Conveyors and controlled by Photocells and PLC. Numerous Options are available to best match this system to your specific application.

Category 2 Safety Rating is standard equipment, not an option.You'll find full surround 8 foot high steel mesh fencing with interlocked access points as well as infeed and exit light curtains with electronic muting to keep employees safe and secure near this shrinkwrapper.
Allen Bradley Controller / VFD Drives: easy access to control and settings
This system utilizes the powerful MicroLogix 1400 PLC from Allen Bradley with a 6" color HMI operator control panel for ease of control and settings. All AC motors with VFD drives insures high reliability and low maintenance. For convenience, there is an external PLC com port on the outside of the controller along with two 115VAC outlets.
Heavy Duty Frame & Conveyors
This is a machine for heavy-duty applications in industrial environments. It's made with 100% structural and plate steel machine frames for durability. Powder coat paint provides a tough, long-lasting, attractive finish. Orion Elite conveyors have a maximum weight capacity of 4,000 pounds to handle virtually any pallet, and feature powered chain driven rollers propelling loads at 30 FPM. The soft-start and soft-stop function prevents load displacement by starting and stopping load movement gently. We can help you tie existing conveyors and other machinery to these shrink-wrappers, including controls, design, and interface issues to really integrate productivity into your process.
Maximum Economy Film Carriage
Insta-Thread film delivery system reduces film cost with every load you wrap by pre-stretching film up to 300% prior to wrapping.
The carriage features an electronic corner compensation system that speeds up film delivery when the corner of the load pulls against the film supply, thus assuring even tension on all parts of the load, better film economy, and elimination of spilled loads during wrapping. The ergonomically designed carriage faces the side for fast and easy film roll loading.
Heavy Duty Chain & Sprocket Turntable Drive
The FA turntable is driven by a highly reliable chain & sprocket system that provides precise movement of the turntable and making it extremely easy to maintain and service. The base FA system includes one infeed conveyor, conveyorized turntable and one exit conveyor.
