An interim step between pallet rack and industrial shelving, wide span rack is hand-loaded, heavy-duty bulk storage. It's commonly specified in case or piece picking applications with light stock rotation. Pallets may not be stored on this rack. Beams have an angle retaining lip to keep particle board or metal decking in place. For particle board shelves, add support cross bars between each beam to maximize capacity.
