Low profile self dumping hoppers make handling heavy trash, scrap and other in-process materials that are to be discarded safer and easier by lowering the working height. By lowering the working height and making the units wider to accommodate more material they are ideal for handling large, long and bulky items. The all welded steel hopper has a 1/8 cubic yard or 2,000 pound capacity and sits on a structural steel base with 2-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 18" OC fork openings. To operate the hopper simply unlock the safety latch, lift with a forklift, place the hopper over the waste container and pull the trip cord. The hopper will then automatically dump its contents and when the forks of the lift are tilted back, the hopper will automatically reset and lock back into position. Up to three hoppers can be stacked to save space when they are empty. Make sure a forklift with a proper capacity rating is used when handling hoppers.
