Seismic-rated pallet rack has greater torsion resistance and improved frontal and side impact resistance (please check capacity ratings for your seismic zone before ordering). Connector clips are welded to beams rather than using interlocking or bolt-on connector clips. An extra sturdy 5"x7" base plate is added for stability during seismic events. Made of durable steel with 60,000 psi minimum steel yield, the beams have higher moment of resistance for greater reliability under load. Rated capacity is: 6,080 lbs. per beam pair based on 2 beam levels spaced at 48".
Note: While most seismic zoning requires 5" x 7" welded upright base plates, some higher risk areas require larger ones. - Capacities are based on 2 beam levels spaced at 48". Moving or changing beam levels will change capacities per level
- If beam length allows only one load wide per level, decrease rated capacities by 20% for impact loading
