This is a Starter rack and is completely freestanding. Use it to start a row, and attach adders to create rack rows. It is 144" tall, 42" deep, and 96" wide with a 6820 pound capacity per load level. Included in the pallet rack unit are 2-ea. model T0209412 uprights and 6-ea. model U0200558 beams.
Frames
Frames are comprised of two open-back steel posts with a number of horizontal and diagonal braces depending on the height of the upright. Posts are cold roll-formed using 55,000 psi minimum yield 14 gauge steel and have industry-standard teardrop style slots spaced every 2" to accommodate a wide range of beam adjustments. Footplates are bolted onto the base of the post which are in turn bolted to the floor using anchor bolts. This provides a sturdy platform for the uprights to rest. In a seismic application, these footplates are welded to the upright post in accordance with building codes (this excludes 8ft tall uprights).
Beams
Beams are connected to the uprights using a 3-pin teardrop connector which allows you to attach the beams to the uprights without the use of any tools. The beam itself is a tubular step or "L"-shaped beam. Because the beam is one-piece there are no cracks or seals to trap moisture. Beam measures 5" high.
