What is gravity flow racking?
Flow racks use a variety of types of rollers and wheels—and the force of gravity—to move cartons, bins or products to the front of a racking system automatically. This way, workers can load racks at the back, while others pick orders or parts from the front, without getting in each other's way. This is a big win for storage density, organization and ergonomics. We explain more in our guide to carton flow. This downloadable pdf covers first-in-first-out (FIFO) storage, full case and split case picking, roller and wheel bed types, and more.
