"Light-directed systems are ideal for team-based approaches like zone picking. Since order picking is inherently labor-intensive, it's vital to maximize your resources, and pick-to-light does a good job of simplifying the process. Your order pickers can focus on doing a better job when they aren't focused on reading tickets. We're happy to help you design a system that works for you. Just contact us to get started!"

Perfect for omnichannel order fulfillment, light-directed picking increases pick rate productivity and selection accuracy. Several factors contribute to those results, including reduced walking time and reading errors errors and a simplified picking process. Lightning Pick Technologies' LP Pick systems are flexible and powerful, and with a short training and startup interval, they can help you respond to increased demand and customer needs.
Pick to light is acknowledged as the fastest operator-based picking strategy available for broken case quantity order fulfillment
Light modules mount to flow racks, shelving, workstations or other storage media. The operator scans an order barcode, and the indicators illuminate to show the picker the locations and quantities of the products needed in that zone. The operator picks the correct quantity of each and confirms the pick by pressing a button on the light module. When all items in that zone have been picked, the bay display tells the operator if the order is complete or if it needs to move to another zone. This method eliminates paper and is hands-free for the operator, which speeds up the process and makes it more efficient.
As a bonus, the software provides real-time data for order status and productivity, giving warehouse managers new insight into their operation.
