"The way you load a lift table impacts its capacity. If you're pushing or driving a load onto the table from either end—never load from the sides—you put extra stress on the platform as the load moves into position. Make sure the lift is designed and rated for that kind of loading. Loading with a crane or hoist doesn't reduce capacity because the weight is applied vertically. Even so, it's always best to center the load and distribute the weight as evenly as possible."
