The benefits of Drop and Pick methods
Drop and pick material handling allows order pickers to complete an order pick and fill a cart and then leave it at the end of the pick aisle to be picked up by a tug. The tug then takes a train of carts to the shipping area and returns with empty carts to be dropped at pick aisle locations, re-filled and left again for pick-up. Using this method of order picking expedites the process significantly because order picking workers stay in the pick aisles doing what they do best, picking more orders, while the completed orders are in route to shipping. This method saves huge amounts of time and manpower, as well as steps.

Interconnecting into a train
These towable carts are easily joined together to operate as a rail-less train following the tug or person pulling manually. Quickly connected to or released from the train, individual carts can be dropped or picked up at specific locations, then the remaining carts are reconnected and move to the next area. This capability means that your material handling processes are faster and more efficient, freeing up more workers to do higher value activities.
