Cantilever racks easily accomodate hard-to-store products that typical pallet rack openings can't handle. The units consist of single or double sided uprights, cantilever arms that support loads, and bracing between the uprights for stability; optional decking can be added to undergird bulky items. The major benefit of the cantilever design is that it has no posts at the front, so a row of racking can support very long items while keeping them fully accessible for hand or forklift loading and retrieval.
Stored items are presented in an organized, highly visible manner, expediting inventory control. Cantilever racks are the perfect alternative for the "pile up" or floor stacking method of storage (typically used for piping or lumber), which forces the material handler to sort through the entire pile to find what he needs.
