Cisco-Eagle Names New Sales Directors
Lance Reed and Greg Bates Promoted to Sales Director Roles in San Antonio and Charlotte
Cisco-Eagle recently promoted two sales directors to help us serve customers better in Central Texas and the Charlotte, North Carolina offices.
Lance Reed named Central Texas director of sales
Effective September 1, 2023, Lance Reed has been named Central Texas Director of Sales for Cisco-Eagle, according to Vice-President of Sales James Murphy.
Reed has been a successful account executive in the company’s San Antonio office, where he was responsible for significant growth, including multiple large clients in the distribution and manufacturing sectors. Reed developed successful automation, storage and material handling systems for a large variety of clients in the area.
“Lance grew our market share because he knows how to help people find the right solutions,” said Murphy. “His efforts helped improve those companies’ operations, safety and efficiency. We’re counting on Lance to help nurture our growing presence in Central Texas.”
Reed is a graduate of Texas Christian University, where he majored in Communications Studies and minored in Energy Technology & Management. Lance and his wife, Amber, have two children.
In his new role, Reed is responsible for market and sales force development in Austin, San Antonio and other areas of the region. His role includes sales leadership and corporate strategy.
Reed is key to Cisco-Eagle’s ESOP (employee stock ownership) culture as a member of the company’s ESOP committee.
“Lance was an exceptional account executive,” said Murphy. “He has a deep understanding of the industry and the needs of our customers. He’s going to do what he’s always done—make things better for our customers and our employee-owners.”
Greg Bates named East Central Carolinas director of sales
Effective September 1, 2023, Greg Bates has been named Cisco-Eagle East Central Director of Sales for the company’s Charlotte office according to Vice-President of Sales James Murphy.
Previously, Bates has worked in the Carolinas market as a successful account executive, responsible for growth in the region. He founded the Charlotte office in 2021.
Bates has helped a growing customer base of warehousing, manufacturing and distribution companies operate better, faster, safer and more efficiently by assisting with material handling, automation, safety and storage projects.
“Greg is a skilled account executive with a problem-solving mindset,” said James Murphy, Cisco-Eagle’s vice president of sales. “We’ve seen tremendous growth in the Carolinas due to his efforts. Now, I’ve asked him to build a larger team to help serve our growing customer base.”
Bates has earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and an MBA from Lipscomb University in Nashville. He was previously vice president of Retail Accounts for Nashville Wire for Nashville Wire, responsible for many large corporate accounts.
In his role as sales director, Bates will develop a sales force to serve industrial customers of all types throughout the region. “The Carolinas are a hotbed,” said Murphy. “Greg will hire, coach and develop a larger team to help our customer base in the region.”
“He is one of the most accomplished people I know,” continued Murphy. “He’s organized, strategic and focused on solving problems. He sees the big picture. But most importantly, he’s a great team player and a natural coach.”
